Patch ID sought if possible please
Having read in Bailey's pamphlet on WWII RM cloth insignia about RM units in MNBDO Iceland having Yellow, Blue, Red & Green - Diamonds, Circles and Triangles I purchased the attached at Farnham today.
I fear they are too large and wonder if anyone give me a definitive ID on any of them please? The red & yellow diamonds are appx 2.5 inches by 1.5 inches The red circle is appx 1.75 inches in diameter The squat, dark green diamond is appx 2.5 by 3 inches Many Thanks Ray |

The green lozenge may be a Canadian Army Pacific Command formation badge from the 1939-45 War. If so, it would have been worn at 90 degrees to how you have oriented it.

Obviously not commonly known
Thanks for the info Phil
From the lack of responses I am guessing these are not known to others (and mught have aroiginated from the famous Ebayer with loads of patches on khaki cloth perhaps?) The Bailey document shows a dark green diamond but in the common (thin) diamond shape) related to MNBDO Iceland but later shows the squat diamond (as another colour) also related to them. Guess I'll keep them for now and see if I can dig out any more info anywhere. Ray |
