Default RCT Pipers badge ...perhaps

Hi Folks

I think I have raised this before but I have now taken a comparative picture.

I have a large rough wm cast RCT badge with lugs left and right. I thought it might have been from a shield or display but if so why the lugs?

I am wondering if when the change over from RASC to RCT happened in 1965 did the RASC TA pipe bands change to this badge?

It measures 80 x 70mm

I have pictured it next to the pipers badge for 123 (Scottish) Transport Column and would love to hear your views.

Regards
Sean
