SAS War Crimes Team - insignia
Hello
Is it possible that anyone recognises the insignia on the sleeve on this soldier? He is stood with SAS members of the War Crimes Investigation Team but is perhaps not SAS himself (attached other arms?) I think I see a Royal Engineers stripe above the rank insignia but the remainder is unclear. Any help would be most welcome. Many thanks! |

Thanks very much! Here is another apparent non-SAS soldier stood with them. Similar but different insignia here. Any idea what they are?

Fox is 8th Armoured Brigade, shoulder title might be red on rifle green KRRC - King’s Royal Rifle Corps.
Rifle green lanyard and arm of service strip on left arm. 12th (Queen's Westminsters) Battalion, King's Royal Rifle Corps (K.R.R.C.) were in that Brigade in Germany 1945. Tim

Thanks! I think thats consistent with the lanyard worn too. Is that a WOII's crown on the sleeve also?

I saw that, too - but what militates against is that 48th Division was a home training formation after 1940.
