Default NSW Lancers riding crop owner?

In a recent thread I noticed that someone was able to trace people through Ancestry. All my research to date has not turned up anything about "H.G.Burgess". The riding crop could date anywhere from 1894 to the 1930s when the NSW Lancers stopped riding horses. He may have served in the Boer War or WW1, or only in peacetime, and could have been in the 1st ALH, 4th ALH or 5th ALH from 1903-12 when regional squadrons became separate Lancer regiments. Also 1930-42 1st LH or 16th LH, who all used variations of the elephant head badge. Any info would be appreciated.
