Default 1856 - 1858 2-Band Enfield Rifle Bayonet

Hi Stratford may have been a fiasco for me this time but found this on the way home, in really good nick considering its age - found when Barn was being renovated to a public dwelling, what do you think? could be i,ll be slated for this as well! anyway hope you enjoy and any info on it appreciated! wish you all well billy

I don't see how you can be "slated" this is the Everything Else Other Militaria section, which exists for items like the one you show.

Hi Billy,

Well done on this latest find. I'm certainly no expert on bayonets but have noted that these earlier types are getting increasingly difficult to find in decent condition and of course complete with scabbard.

It really is amazing what military treasures still surface.
