Default Collars and Shoulder Titles for Review

Would appreciate members opinions on the collars and shoulder titles please as I’m aware some have been repro’ed in recent years. Also what would be a fair price.

Believe the motto collars are 1960s era. The Machine Gun Corps collars look good quality and appear to be cast bronze with D loops.

If good I will be moving them on.

I see thanks. Griff had them on his site as 1960s but if there’s doubt in the tat box they can go.

Luke,
I would be very pleased if others assess them as genuine.

I have an arm motto very much like yours that was given to me, with other 17th/21st bits, in 1997 by an ex 17th/21st Lancer, he had transfered to the REME on amalgamation with the 16th/5th.
I'll dig it out for comparison.

I’m happy the Chad is fine. Sorry I put it in for size comparison.

I have not seen such small OSD MGC collars before, but they look genuine to me, as does the Lancs RGA ST.

Luke,

I believe the two T titles to be modern copies.

They have the chemical aging seen on such titles.

Thanks Chris, CB and Simon.

The MGC collars are proper tiddlers, so much so they do look a little silly. Found what appears to be a pic of them in wear though.

Many thanks for the ST comment Simon. The hex lugs on T-RFA-Essex certainty fooled me as the repro ones I’d seen always appeared quite a bit chunkier. Good to know and very glad I don’t collect STs!

Luke,

I have to say it looks a lot better in this latest photo.

Check the hex lugs arent cast into it as one.

If you have any other titles check the thickness for comparison. I bought a dodgy one recently and it was obvious.

There does seem to be a lot in common with the Essex one to this example.

Thanks both.

Are they thinner or thicker Keith? Believe it or not I don’t have a single shoulder title in the house, these aside.
