Default Identical Button designs

I'm looking for some help in figuring out a date on a button I found last summer as I cannot find the same kind online...I found the same design but not by the same manufacturer.
The button I found was identified as a 2nd pattern Treaty Coat Button (Photos 1 and 2), the backmark is difficult to read in my photo but it says 'Smith & Wright, Birmingham'.
The identical Button I found online was manufactured by 'Tait and Co. London' (Photos 3 and 4), but I cannot find any information on which manufacturer made the original design for the first issued 'Scarlet Treaty Coats' which were made in 1874 and issued in 1875 to Treaty Chiefs who signed Treaties 1 and 2.

If anyone with experience in these manufacturers and could help me it would be much appreciated.
