STAFF - any idea as to who wore this ?
Sometimes titles turn up that initially seem to identify themselves. This STAFF title is one such title that has taunted me for a while. Who wore it ? and in which military force ? I havent been able to find the title in any of my reference works so I'm hoping that someone on the Forum can solve the problem .
Many thanks Mike |

Thanks for the leads. A google search seems to indicate that the Australians used a unitary " Staff Corps" title. This is not to say that there wasnt a two part title, but I cant find it . I think that it is most likely a variation of the Indian title.
The help is greatly appreciated. Mike |

The height of the badge would help identification. I would only be Australian if it was part of a pre-1916 metal title (title/Australia, sometimes with a number above) before colour patches were introduced.
The unique raised letters and the type of lugs don't look Australian to me. A curved "Staff Corps" title was worn in Australia between the wars. I have two varieties of plain STAFF titles. The smaller one might be Australian but I believe the larger one was Indian Army, but both are different to yours. |
