Hi These are photos of my granda. I originally thought he was a seaforth or cameronian Scottish rifles but the glen garrie doesn't match. any help would be much appreciated. quality is poor I know... |

The attached image won't open for me (not the attached thumbnail). The glengarry looks like a Gordon's GG to me but I can't see any badge detail. The other image with the badge and hackle on the ToS looks more like Cameron Highlanders but the detail is very poor and I don't know if they wore a hackle.
What era was he, WWI or WWII? You might be able to get some info on the Forces War Records website. Cheers, Alex |

I would go for Queens Own Cameron Highlanders or Liverpool Scottish (Cameron).

The first image looked like the Cameron's to me at first, I don't think they wore the hackle during WWII although authorised but took it I to wear during the early 50's.
I'd go with Liverpool Scots as the badge appears to have the additional scrolls. |

The badge appears to be Liverpool Scottish to me as well. The 1st Battalion took part in the 2nd Chindit Operation in Burma, 1944
