Default Para Beret with Para badge

Hi Team

This is way out of my comfort zone!

Can I have opinions on this.

Why would there be no markings on a beret?

Would a kings crown with slider be 1950's , would it be legit?

from the seller:
Maroon wool with black lining, white metal king’s crown badge with slider, no makers name or size indicated, but fairly small size.

Thanks for any input guys.

Phill

The badge is the common fake with the wonky crown and die flaw on the (viewers) left wing.

From what markings I can see inside the beret it is possibly a early KANGOL made beret but I am NO expert on these items.

My thoughts would be to look elsewhere!

The band appears to be the plastic type of the 1970's rather than leather.

The beret looks to be post 1970 with plastic sweatband where the details would have been on a paper label covered with a plastic stitched diamond, since removed.. in fact I think I can see a ghost of the label?
