Default Royal Warwickshire latest purchase

Hi All,

would like to share most recent purchase, but also have a question. Is there any way to determine which period this badge may be from ? Officers badge, I think it is un-marked silver. Nice quality badge..

Cheers, Mark

I cannot help with your questions, but have to say that is indeed a very nice badge.

Very difficult to date Officer's dress badges, especially to the Warwickshire's, having the one badge for 60+ years.
The fittings on OR's badges can help, but the same doesn't apply here.
Mine is the same as yours, but has 3 blades.

This is one of the useful combination of OR and Offr badges with the same design.
The OR badge was authorisation was on 28th July 1896 as Pattern 1896/4433.
Officer's badges were authorised often just a bit earlier (month or so) so I would guess the officer version would date to the first few months of 1896.
