Royal Warwickshire latest purchase
Hi All,
would like to share most recent purchase, but also have a question. Is there any way to determine which period this badge may be from ? Officers badge, I think it is un-marked silver. Nice quality badge.. Cheers, Mark |

I cannot help with your questions, but have to say that is indeed a very nice badge.

Very difficult to date Officer's dress badges, especially to the Warwickshire's, having the one badge for 60+ years.
The fittings on OR's badges can help, but the same doesn't apply here. Mine is the same as yours, but has 3 blades. |

It's the same as my father's and he was an officer in the Second World War.

This is one of the useful combination of OR and Offr badges with the same design.
The OR badge was authorisation was on 28th July 1896 as Pattern 1896/4433. Officer's badges were authorised often just a bit earlier (month or so) so I would guess the officer version would date to the first few months of 1896. |
