Default Prisone of War cap badge Great War

Many photos exist of allied P o Ws wearing the same design of badge apparently unique to the place and time.

Does anyone own a specimen please?

Didn't someone post on the forum a few years ago images of the badge worn by these men?
(I may be thinking of the wrong forum).

The photo from which these images are cropped is postmarked 8th September 1916 and was sent by a RMLI private who gave his status and address as "Kriegs-Gefangenen at Lager Dyrotz, Westermarsch, Deutschland".
The camp was located in Brandenberg and held Other Ranks.

I'm thinking of images of a badge or badges that the person posting owned, shown in response to these images of mine, I wouldn't have posted on GWF.

Yes, from what I recall the badge was of enamelled gilt, the Union flag in the centre, the garter surrounding in light blue although (again) I'm unsure if the garter may have been garter blue.

Curious ! I have a photograph of what I'm pretty sure are officers of our (erstwhile) allies - but definitely labelled as Dyrotz.

There were over three hundred such camps in Germany, mixing nationalities seems to have been common practise from what I see in photos of prisoners at the time.

Yes, well done, I thought there was a thread showing one of these but I couldn't find it.
I'm still thinking of of an enamelled badge I've seen - must be in an auction catalogue. I've checked the ones I have with no success.

And a postcard sent by the same RMLI man.
It's undated but as it has the wording "I'm out of Germany" I take it to have been sent by a released prisoner of war (an escapee's less likely) rather than a RND man whose made it to Holland in order to avoid capture in 1914.
