Default 1950 RAF officers beret by Kangol

a recent addition to my collection, as described in the title, with a lovely metal and bullion badge. it has some moth trails but is otherwise solid.

Nice, I picked up similar very recently 2 years younger and with kings crown metal on cloth backing rather than a metal and bullion badge.

funny when you think what a difference those few years make in value or cost, the badge was probably worth more than I paid for it if I stripped it off the beret, which I wouldn't.

What a super thing, I particularly like the embroidered badge, they are normally rather like the wartime officers economy metal cap badges in miniature, but, that example is very nice.
