Default Grantham School OTC

Having read the recent thread on Louth School and Luke's illuminating forensic summary, I thought it might be interesting to also look at Grantham as fakes are often from the same die with just the name scroll being changed.

So I'll start this off. I'm really hoping I made the right decision with this one, but am ready to be disappointed.

Mark

Fear not, it’s a good one Mark.
Cheers,

Wink

I like to think of it as the Sphinx that looks like Catherine of Aragon is good.

The ones that resemble Johnny Cash and Mr. Punch are bad.

I don't know what to say Luke, I'm killing myself. The Johnny Cash Sphinx - oh my, superb! More spot-on descriptions for the Forum lexicon.

All this sphinx talk invariably reminds me of the old squaddie's song:
(I always keep an eye out for a smiling Sphinx fake.
An enterprising fakir (see what I did there) is bound to produce one sooner or later):

The sexual life of the camel,
Is stranger than anyone thinks,
At the height of the mating season,
It tries to xxxxxx the Sphinx.
But the Sphinx's xxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx,
Is blocked by the sands of the Nile,
Which accounts for the hump on the camel,
And the Sphinx's inscrutable smile.
