I think I'm right saying the Royal Anglians couldn't give a stuff about them, but the person who knows the reasons why is Orasot and I'm sure he'll give a better explanation.

That's right, the RSM (school SSI) is Steve Carter, ex Welsh Guards and the Welsh Guards were very happy to help out. Their band performed magnificently (along with the RA) at last year's GI day, fantastic stuff,

Just for a bit of clarity the old school badge was slightly different to the old RV badge, higher water line on the part behind the back leg but level all the way across on the Volunteer badge, see attached pic.
