That illustration looks like a photocopy of a page from one of the editions of "Regimental Badges" by Edwards?

Just checked. The page (156) is identical in Editions 4 and 5.

It certainly is one of Edwards' pages: the design is quite distinctive.

There were several editions in the 1950s and 1960s.

Chris,

Regimental Badges by Major T J Edwards M.B.E. FRHistS

First Published 1951
Reprinted 1953
2nd Edition 1957
3rd Edition 1963
4th Edition 1966
5th Edition 1968
6th Edition 1974 ISBN 0 85314 214 9 (prepared by Arthur L Kipling (of K&K))
1st Edition reprinted 1972 ISBN 85314 138 X

So the AAC page is from the 4th Edition (1966) or 5th Edition (1968). However, the 3rd Edition (1963) has the same information and illustrations on page 161. The 6th Edition (1974) the same information on page 158.
The 1st Edition reprint (1972) illustrates only the KC AAC and GPR badges on pages 252-252. I do not own a 2nd Edition!

Thanks - I've seen a copy on the web and an ordering it - hopefully they will ship to New Zealand.

I would like to add a little bit of information to what Chris had already found: .

Whilst neither of these entries confirm manufacture, they at least show authorisation of WM KC. AA isn't mentioned until the QC version.
Off-hand I cannot confirm date of disbandment for the Regt, but I think it was about 1957. AS new badges took some 12 months to produce I doubt the QC version made it past a design stage before disbandment.

Stephen.
