Nice badge, and the pin seems to be nigh on identical to me?

Anyone got a rough price for one of these? My SF collection will join my medals on the insurance soon, and I need some prices to give a decent guess-timate I paid about 90 quid for mine on ebay, good buy or not?

ATB,
Tom

Default Price

I found mine at Beltring this year, being sold by an old guy who had some ground dug items,badges/helmets etc.,he had it in a tin at home for years and could not remember where it came from,I paid £15 for it. I have never seen one up for sale on any sites at all,so I have no idea. Rare award though I would have thought.
Regards,Ivan.

Default Greek Sacred Squadron & Rimini

I know that this thread is too old so I will try to warm it up a little bit.

Is there anyone that has solid info about what we need to look (tips n hints) for authentic Greek Sacred Squadron and Rimini badges?

Thank you in advance.

A thin pin, no coke bottle ones, thin; not as chunky as the repro's, I can try and do a comparison for you if you like.

What do you want to know. I have seen a few ex veterans and have a contact whose uncle was the RSN Sacred Squadron.

I have a Rimini badge ex veteran (only one I have seen) with all documentation including IDs, certificates and his British medals too.

It will be helpful to know what are the authentic badges variations, what to expect - few photos of them as well so you can alert yourself against fakes.

Yeah the hat badge looped ones are the newest style, they are being made and marked in silver... :/ Never done originally, the older style copies have German medal style pins, and no tablet (the rear tablet absence is imho a guaranteed copy indication).

so what understand if there is no table with greek letters at the back it is NOT original. What was the idea of marking it with W^D?

I have to say the fakers are mostly "Morons", and hope they can fool people by marking pretty much anything with WD in an attempt to try to give it some air of authority.... it doesn't work though...

The missing Tablet is a pretty sure sign it's a dud.....
