I recently sold a chrome metal sandcast back cap badge and collars to fellow who served in the regiment, he stated that the chrome sandcast badge and collars were given to members who retired from the regiment as a going away present.
Sadly I did not take a picture of the badge before I sold it. |

Hi, just came across this. I don't think the RTR actually ever wore a slouch hat, hope this helps in some way, Mike

This is probably a Kenya Army or Kenya Rifles slouch hat as the national colours worn on flash were red, green and black a shown here rather than an RTR hat
