Last Man Standing - Norman Collins
It seems a bit remiss of me, having supported the creation of this sub-forum, to not then post. So:
I recently read the above book. Norman was commissioned into the Seaforth Highlanders as a teenager, and saw service on the Western Front. He was wounded several times. After the war he spent some time in service in India, and eventually lived to 100. One of his claims to fame was in WW2, due to his war work, he was on an SS hit list - slated for immediate execution, had the Germans invaded Britain.
Its an autobiography, and will suit not only those interested in the SH's but also those that just want to read and engaging first hand account of WW1
Cheers, Tim
