Its happened to me in the past, left what I felt was a high bid, and sniped in the last minute, either beating me or leaving me to pay the higher price. But then again if I was not willing to pay £xxx than I would not have placed the bid in the first place, nor would have the Sniper.

Default Gurkha Signals Badge

Dear William.

Can I just thank you for being so honest and upfront about your purchase of the Gurkha Signals Badge in question.

It really is refreshing to see some one come to the fore with an answer as clear and honest as you have done William.

Very well done and thank you.

I mentioned in a previous post that my acquaintance had a 2 piece Gurkha signals badge and that I wasn't sure what he was doing with it.

Well here's the answer!

ps I admit to knowing the seller but the badge is not mine.
ps I do not admit to taking the photographs this time, no where near as good as mine!

Default 2 piece Gurkha Signals cap badge

Dear Friends

I always thought that these 2 piece QGS badges were on the rare side. In fact up until recently I had only ever seen two or three for sale.

Today there has been two of these badges sold on ebay and in my opinion both look quite genuine. The reason for the post is I believe the two buyers have got these badges for a song.

Item numbers were 131306830579 and 261597873328.

One went for £30 and the other went for £45

Why can't I do deals like this??????????????????????

Kind regards

Hi Chris,

the two "lucky buyers" were in fact only one - me! I must admit I was surprised myself to get both or indeed even one. I'd bid on the first at £51 - expecting it to go for closer to £100. Then yesterday I saw another listed, which from the photo looked an even better example - I made a cheeky offer of a BIN price of £30 - the vendor did know it was a rare example of a two piece badge as he said as much in his description. - I was delighted when he accepted and was very surprised to come back from the pub today to find out I'd won the other one as well! Once I've received them both I'll happily move one on to an to another collector on the forum.

Tim
