Lincolnshire Reg. Imp
Opinions please on this Lincolnshire Reg. Imp, purchased recently as genuine.
I now have my doubts, as close up it shows a few of those pin top sized bubbles of metal in various locations , which have been mentioned in past threads as an indication of a more recent casting process. The quality of the casting is also poor. Thanks. Myles DSCF2445.jpg DSCF2453.jpg DSCF2464.jpg |

I'm surprised at it being a casting...the originals that I have seen were not.
I do have some interesting letters from a gentleman that wore this as a TA and in WW2 with the 4th.Batt.....if worth posting? |

Cast Imp
I have only ever seen a die struck imp, but with badge collecting, never say never . . !

The reason I say it is a casting is that is what a previous thread said the method to make them was, it may well be die struck for all I know. Dose anyone think it may be a genuine one.
Thanks Myles |

Not with those cherry red lugs......I suspect that someone has taken a casting from an original as suggested.
