Is there any reference sources showing County ACF cloth Badges as of 1945?

With regard to a cadet reference book, I have yet to find one. The most useful cadet booklet is 'OTC, CCF, ACF Cadets, Badges, shoulder titles... compiled by Keith Rawlings. Keith was a collector, a compiler of lists, but unfortunately not a researcher who checked the veracity of what he recorded. That comment isn't meant to demean him, but point out that his booklet is a checklist of many badges, which he thought were cadet related. Many have subsequently been proven otherwise. But with 2,500 odd entries it is the best place to start in my opinion.
Formation Sign has published fairly complete lists of cloth titles worn by OTC, and CCF units, and the Military Heraldry Society have recently republished Waring's pamphlets on cloth badges. Pamphlet No2 lists a substantial number of cloth county cadet badges in addition to titles. This booklet contains line drawings of many of the badges. The research conducted by the author has stood the test of time better than Rawlings has. Stephen.
