I have been reading through the posts on the forum about the history of J R Gaunt with great interest. They are fascinating. Thank you to those who have researched and shared the information.

I have been searching on the internet and notice there is now a J R Gaunt London & Birmingham website (http://www.jrgaunt.co/) at Warstone Works, Warstone Parade East, that shows the firm as re-established as of 2010. There is also no longer any history of J R Gaunt on the Firmin website. I also found a reference online that a company registered as J. R. Gaunt London Ltd. was formed to restrike Gaunt's line of British badges. Is there more that has occurred in recent history that anyone can confirm?

Someone better qualified than me in navigating the Forum might be able to find the link to an earlier post from a year or two ago in which I listed a Gaunt sample card from about 1908 and a very large catalogue from the same period. The card showed some interesting badges which were a mixture of British and Colonial, put there to show the various finishes and quality that Gaunt produced. The book showed prices for each item (which a salesman would have used) and also the incredible range of Gaunt products: not just badges but swords, buttons, bullion items etc etc in colour. They also had a few "old and curious" badges and buttons. They certainly were!
