Anybody have any idea what this cap badge is? African? French?

Certainly looks French based to me. I'd guess Chad but that might be too far north for that type of shield and spears.

It appears that it is Kenyan. Can anybody tell me what it is, as far as Kenyan is concerned. Please see the Kenyan Coat of Arms attached.

This is a bit like pulling teeth ! Kenya - I thought that I had seen something similar, now I know where. Here is an RSM badge from Kenya. I would guess that your badge is also a Kenyan rank badge.

Default Kenyan defence force WO2
Looks to me like a variation of the Kenyan defence force (army, air force and navy) WO2 badge. If anyone is selling or swapping the Kenya WO1 or 2 badges please let me know. Or could be Kenya Police Administration WO1 attached. See : http://www.uniforminsignia.net/index...w&id=23&sid=39
