It's not very clear but I've seen this one often enough but can't recall.. may be JRG&S Co. J.R Gaunt & Sons...I'll have to look at examples in my collection but can't do it right away...

The badge is shown in Ashok Nath's Sepoys and Sowars and was worn 1903 to about 1920-21 when they were disbanded.

I would have loved to have this badge but no point in aski ng if you want to sell since you're in NZ and postage from there to India has issues besides the high cost of postage..

A lovely badge..the Fishes of Oudh

Hi Sunil,
Thanks for your comments. I do like the Fishes of Oudh.
I've not forgotten your interest in the Kudu badge.
Regards, John

Ah yes, John, ...the Kudu badge.. Someday with my luck I'll get one. Have more or less stopped badge collecting now tnough there are a few I still covet, and by and by I guess I will find then...I only buy hallmarked silver badges with only the occasional bronze or white metal badge if I can be absolutely sure they are genuine...too many fakes/copies around...and the silver badges are becoming very expensive..I haven't bought one in well over a year I think

Cheers!
Sunil
