Default PBG Collar or Cap Badge identification

Trying to get a positive identification on this small cast badge which judging from its size is, I assume a Collar badge and measures 250 mm x 250 mm.

Does the 'BG' refer to 'Body Guard' ? Or am I way off the mark, any thoughts appreciated.

Regards, Simon.

Simon,

although this does not specifically help, it narrows the field a bit.

Mike,

Excellent, many thanks, looking at the design of the badge in your image I'm more inclined to think of this as a collar badge as suspected.

All the best, Simon.
