Default WW2 KOSB Tartan patches

Hi All,
Hopefully someone here will be able to answer.
I am trying to find the orientation of the Leslie tartan patch as used as a regimental title during WW2 as worn on the RIGHT arm of the battledress.
I am happy with the orientation on the left arm.
I have seen pictures of OR's and officers (and pipers) with different orientations on the right arm and am trying to find out which is the correct one, or was there a difference between OR's and officers? I believe the Pipers are a law unto themselves!!!!
Any help and photographic evidence greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Greg
