Default Annual meeting Badge forum?

Would it be an idea to organize an annual physical meeting of the members of the forum in the UK?

We could trade badges or have lectures on specific badges etc

Just an idea to see the faces behind the members.

Let me have your thoughts!!

Kind regards
JB

Hi JB,

I don't get around much ( I've been trying to get to see joachim for two years and it's only a ninety minute drive !! ) but I'll send you a photo if you want.

Seriously, for those with the military history a meeting could, I think, be a good idea but people like myself would probably walk away more embarrassed at our lack of knowledge etc, than anything else ??

I have met a couple of forum friends and there are a few more I'm waiting to meet but I wonder how many I will get to see ??

Dave.

At least I now know Dave lives in Luxembourg as I do ...so lets do it in the Grand-Duchy. Just big enough to host all BC form members. And we have some snow here today..

Or lets meet in Kabrit the L-detachment base..

Cheers
JB

Default Meeting

Sounds a good idea, but as we rarely seem to get a concensus about badges what chance is there of deciding a venue?

If, as I suspect, many people would have to travel, why don't we organise a date to correspond with one of the big fairs, i.e. Bedford fair is this coming Sunday but what if we had a meet the preceeding Saturday afternoon/ evening using the meeting room of a pub which had B&B facilities? Plenty of pubs/ clubs give free meeting-room facilities if people are eating/drinking as well.

Personally the idea gets my vote.

Regards, Stephen.

Hello Alan,

Too many Davids/Daves................

I'd like to meet you and of course, anyone would be welcome here, if Surrey were to be north of Hertfordshire, you might have answered the door to me but..........thanks anyway..........

Regards.

Dave.

Peter Taylor told me that the Aldershot fair was quite good. As I was born in the military hospital there, I would be really going back to the cradle.
How does Aldershot sound? I have no idea about fair dates though, but this summer sounds 'do-able'.
