Another collecting theme ?
I know a lot of collectors might be thinking of changing the theme of their collections in view of the amount of dubious items about and I thought we had seen everything with genuine fridge magnets, mouse mats, coasters etc etc.
I now see that someone is advertising the front pages of magazines of military interest. Not the complete magazines themselves but just the actual front page removed fom the publication. Perhaps I am missing something but I am a loss to understand the interest there might be in collecting such items. I suppose if it catches on I could take some old magazines, perhaps The Armourer or something similar, take the magazine apart and sell the pages individually. If I did this would anyone be interested ? P.B.

Maybe if they are the back cover page of some of the early 'SOLDIER' magazines!

No. I think some people are just getting desperate or are just plain stupid. Its a crying shame that so many old books were destroyed in this way in the past for their 'nice' pages of flowers/maps etc - there is quite a market now for the books that were not destroyed. I have a couple of W.Y.Carmens military books with some nice pictures in it - we could make a fortune. I also have a stack of Military Illustrated? Must get back to badge pictures, this train of thought is driving me bonkers and its only Tuesday. david |

Sales
PB I think it's only people who have nothing much to sell that resort to this vandalism, its just as well they have not got any multi part badges such as officers helmet plates, they could sell the centre, sell the scroll . . !
