Sherwood Foresters Collar Badges
Do any Sherwood Foresters experts know what collar badges members of the regiment would have worn when serving in Ireland during the period 1916-21? Would they have been like these?

The ones you've posted are QVC crowns which only had the stag facing left. The KC pattern (1902-52) were a facing pair.

Thankyou Jeanpit and Viletone. I had overlooked the Queen's crown when I posted the image. I assume brass shoulder titles would also have been worn in Ireland?
As I understand it, the badges worn in Ireland during the 1919-23 period would have been of standard World War I pattern for all or most regiments, although photographs show various equipment and uniform changes - such as infantrymen wearing cavalry (or RIC) bandoliers. |

I don't think the Sh For other ranks did wear a collar badge in Ireland between 1916 and 1921. Brit troops there in those years were definately on active service and ORs did not wear collar badges on SD between 1902 and 1924.

When I said "collar badge" I should perhaps have said "shoulder badge". Photographs of the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry in Ireland circa 1919-22 suggest that small collar-type bages were worn on the shoulder straps, together with the "OXF & BUCKS" brass title. The officers wore buttons on their collars at that time.
