Default RAF Fs cap dated 1939

Hello! I just bought this RAF FS cap...I did not know that FS caps wore grommets to wear the badge...and I am curioud about the markings...not stamped but labelled! What do you think about the cap? I don't know what badge must I have to complete the cap... Thank you!

Standard Brass RAF cap badge is what is needed

Wich one? The Crowned eagle (officers) or the RAF acronym crowned?

Trubia26

There are three markings on the label. The top number is the contract number which includes the date of the contract (1939), the other two are of course the size and the date of manufacture.
These caps were introduced in 1936 for all ranks of Warrant Officer (2nd Class), with a similar version in different material for officers, and the earlier ones had the metal eyelets. Later they were deemed unnecessary and so later ones usually had them left off and just a hole was made in the fabric.

I have plenty of cap badges that are correct for this. If you want one for free, just send me your address.

About the badge you offer me...I Will send you my address...if Customs let me receive the badge without extra charges, It would be great te complete the cap with so generous gift! Thanks a lot again and if you collect spanish items It would be a pleasure to send you anything you need!

Nice cap, good to see the clear labelling with 39 date. A very small size which probably explains it's survival.

Hello again! I just want to show you my completed sidecap....finally the badge arrived safe from the dirty hands of customs! I was Lucky! (No charges, no taxes ..this time they decided It was just a letter from a friend!)...Thank a lot to all of you...specially to members like Padre, Who sent me for free just to help me in complete the cap...Thanks so, so much!!!
