Default Unknown patch

Hello all

I recently purchased a bag of miscellaneous Australian and NZ patches off an old collector.

Amongst the patches was this one which I have been unable to identify. He seemed to think it was British.

Any assistance to identify it would be greatly appreciated.

regards

Dennis

My first thought is it's from the Philippines as that resembles their national flag. I tried to find it on line, but didn't, however I did find this which is more modern and similar.

If we could date it that might make it easier to find.

This site may be able to help.

A quick Google shows as "Kon. Marechaussee 1st Army Corps (Germany)".

I do not think the design refers to rank, but rather to the type of uniform on which it was worn. This is for Dagelijks Tenue, the (more or less) equivalent of service dress.
