Default Badge for identification

Newbie!

Found a few military badges and buttons over many years via metal detecting in random fields. Thought I'd post them up over the next week for Identification. Thanks

Thanks for the response. I thought it was a horse leather but could not find the image on Google.

I've have found several Army buttons and badges in random locations in fields.

I can see some fields near villages were probably used for training purposes.

I can also see Army guys home for the weekend taking so a local lass into the nearest field of an evening!

I was a product of one of these liaisons.

I Just found out i have a half brother and sister after 53 years (Army dad dead) through a DNA test as i never knew my biological Dad.

Default Buttons

To be honest most dug badges have no to very little monetary value but buttons can lots of rare military buttons like militia and volunteers can be worth money. I know you’ve not asked about values but just a heads up.

Yup.... dont forget Yeomanry. I have purchased dug early Leics Yeo buttons found on the Leics Notts border. They are so rare that in any condition they will have a value.
