Canadian Directorate of Inter-service Development
In 1959 the Canadian Dept. of Defence requested the War Office Dress Committee in London to supply a copy of the minutes of the WODC meetings to the Canadian Directorate of Inter-service Development.
If these survived they would make an excellent reference, but seeing as none appear to have been deposited in any British archive by the MoD I don't suppose there is much chance of that having happened. Stephen. |

Hi Stephen, There is a very good chance that these survived IF the minutes were actually sent and IF the DID was required to send their records to Library & Archives Canada. I have a researcher who does good work at archives if you are interested.

Bill,
Luckily, I managed to access copies of Minutes held by MoD a few years ago and saw all except those for 260th & 261st Meetings. Sadly the Dress Committee never kept any of the agendas or papers that were circulated with them. If they survived in Canada I would be interested in possibly taking it further. Stephen. |

I will enquire what may be involved in a search for the material.

Stephen, I had a reply from my researcher. He found some DID files, but they are well outside the dates you were interested in, and there was no indication if the minutes were attached or included in the DID files.

DID
Bill,
Your enquiry is appreciated: another dead end. Many thanks, Stephen. |
