Hi Mike, Check to make sure you are signed in? Are you in the advanced reply window? Then click the paper clip icon (Manage Attachments), and the small window should open. Sometimes the window is in the background and you have to click on your browser icon in the taskbar to see the window. Then you can add a file from your computer. In the Manage Attachments window you click on the Browse button and then do the search, select image and then click Upload . This should do it. (The open dialogue box is for url's, eg linking to another web hosting site image url. Eg opening to photobucket.)
If you are using the Insert Image button, you will need to have a third party host, eg Photobucket or some such service. Copy the appropriate url and add in the box. (Sorry if this seems repetitive, but trying to trouble shoot from a distance is hard.)

That is the Physical Training Corps badge, very often misidentified as the CIC (Army) badge. The CIC (Army badge would have crossed Crusader (straight) swords, instead of curved, cutlass type swords. I have never seen the actual CIC (Army) "boonie" cap badge.

Does anyone have a example of the CIC (Army) badge? I don't recall ever seeing one, and I don't have one in my accumulation.

I have a paper copy of the old DND website and it shows the curved cutlass as the CIC (Army) badge, not that it should mean much - i'm pretty sure there were quite a few other errors to be found there.

I don't have one myself, and I think the absence to date of even just an image of one is quite interesting, im surprised no one has one! Perhaps this means they recycled the PT ones to be used for the CIC? Maybe no one ever noticed the difference?!

To gloat a bit, I finally managed to hit gold at a show (just as Bill A promised!), and got a nice selection of combat insignia. 9 new title additions, and when I get to sit down and sort out the badges there should be a lot of additions there, too. I would post images, but the Forum wont seem to let me do that at the moment.

rgds, Sean

Hi Mike I realize you posted this picture a while ago but is there any chance of getting a up close pic of the Les Fusiliers de Sherbrooke combat cap badge that you have pictured?

Thanks

Hi Mike, thanks for replying to me post. If possible could you please take another better quality photo or better yet 500DPI or better scan. I would like to compare it to two that I have in my collection.

Default Boonie

It appears that mine is a different variant as well, the beaver is more pronounced and the crown is one piece. Are yours plastic backed?
