3RD KINGS OWN HUSSARS
Hi gents, good morning. Just wanted to see what comments would come about on this one. I have a few of these already, but I like the feeling of this one. Any idea on period as well.
Thanks |

Tail seems strangely droopy ?? I don't know the significance of that ??

It is very significant - it has been bent.

Here is my own.... the top front leg on my badge has been repaired (seems to be a common problem).
Yours is different in design and might be an older badge Infact, looking at yours it puts my own badge into question?

I can't make out the underscore on 3rd. I always believed that was a sign of a re-strike. Here is mine for comparison.

Without the underscore....is there one on yours I can't make it out in the photo, otherwise it looks very nice (except for the skinny front leg!)

I didn't get it unfortunalty. I was too late getting back to bid. I was just curious on it authenticity.

These flat backed scrolls are found on a number of WW1 badges. They are probably the work of a sub-contractor or minor company and I think they are OK. Certainly this one looks fine to me.
