A Birmingham Mint collector's badge I think.

Thanks Leigh, didn't think of that as the couple of Mint badges I have are tanged and a lot tighter. This is quite heavy.

You may be thinking of Danbury Mint badges, anod al with tangs?
Birmingham Mint are "heavy metal" jobs. I've got one of their KORR badges, not that I knew what it was when I bought it decades ago. |

I bought a couple of the Birmingham Mint badges about 40 years ago and one sometime later unaware of what they actually were, dealers never knew (strange, that).
I picked up another couple deliberately some months ago to put in a frame, the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers anodised aluminium by Danbury Mint and its four component regiments by the Birmingham Mint. |
