Bank of England in Staffordshire WW2 Mug
Images of a Mug/cup commemorating when the Bank of England moved out of London to Stoke on Trent a link attached goes in to more detail, this mug was produced in 1940 in Stoke on Trent. The Banks new home in Trentham Gardens as it now is.
There was an ash tray produced for 1941 I have only seen an image of one and this is the only mug/cup I have seen also Similarly there was a pottery tankard produced for the American forces based at Yarnfield NR Stone that I have been trying to find one of these for some years now, as Stone Staffs if my main collecting area to any service. Thought this highly unusual item would be of interest to some http://www.thepotteries.org/where/013.htm Regards Stephen |
