been offered some bullion patches, all of which i can id except for this one.
any thoughts?

nice badge.

the wreath and crown puts me in mind of a rqms,with the sword i would say a rqms fenceing instructor

I agree Crown looks Eastern European and the background cloth too nice badge though!

I have seen this badge on the Forum before - and don't think it was solved then, satisfactorily, either.

i also think this or a simmilar patch has been on the forum before. cant recall the outcome so cant search for it.
it is well made and i agree the crown does look european rather than british?

There was a crowned wreath badge with horizontal rifle worn as aBritish army Skill at Arms badge by best shot in a TA regiment or battalion.

Could this be an unrecorded badge for best swordsman in a yeomanry regiment, the shape of the crown down to being "locally made" abroad?

maybe, i am no expert on British items but it seems to me to be probably european in crown and cloth. maybe italian? Belgium? maybe even pre WW1 German or one of the states
