Default 29th Amphibious Platoon "Coy" RASC Malaya

An interesting photo and sign board. Not sure if this picture has been seen before. It was printed in the Burma Star Assoc Journal 12 years ago. A women was seeking info regarding a family member who had been part of the 29th Coy RASC. I cannot make out clearly what the marking on the right side of the flag is? As well a DUKW Amphib landing vehicle on the sign.

Strictly speaking the pre-war ensign of the War Department Fleet and later that of the much enlarged RASC Fleet.

The same design was worn from 1945 as an arm badge by those serving serving with the RASC Fleet.
