Default Unknown formation cloth slip on

Hi just picked this group up but the top formation cloth slip on I've never seen One any ideas please .This group have not arrived yet but will post better Pictures very soon .paul

Tim's spot on. An uncommon item. Although official permission for it was requested but refused it was made anyway.

A typical example of the high quality badges made in wartime by Brough, Nicholson & Hall for many units in Western Command.

Interesting to see the close up. The attached is the one I recorded in my book which appears to have a slightly different backing material.

This picture taken this morning shows the building ( with a little artistic licence) represented on the badge.

When you think Chester was a Garrison Town with the Headquarters of a Command, now all that’s left is one barracks.
