Default Unknown propeller badge

I was intrigued enough by this to buy it cheaply recently.

It has a 4-blade propeller with what could be wings or an "M" behind. It seems to be intended to be worn such that the blades are at upright/horizontal rather than diagonally, as would be the RAF norm.

Because of the strange pins on the back I think it may have been part of an embroidered cap badge, since it would otherwise have been impossible for it to remain in place on clothing. It is rather shoddily made in my opinion.

I am not even sure if it is British - German perhaps?

Any opinions gratefully received as my usual aviation history contacts have failed me on this!

The way the badge is shown in the first photo, with the pins downwards, the letter behind the propeller looks like a Greek E. Perhaps this comes from Greece.

WWII Italian airforce NCO Mechanic/fitter arm of service badge. There is a whole range of them. Look at Guido Rosignoli book on WWII airforce badges
