1 Inf Div RA

This is really one for 54 Bty. Two well-worn slip-ons for Gunners in 1 Inf Div in the Middle East and/or Italy both during and/or post WW2. On the right - a standard, Ordnance issue printed sign rather crudely sewn on the slip-on. This specimen was worn in 2 Fd Regt RA - which served in the Division from the outbreak of War until VE Day and maybe thereafter. On the left a new acquisition (thanks PB!) unusual in that it is made up of a printed generic Gunner flash (the first I have seen) with a felt 1 Div triangle superimposed.
