Default WW1 Observer (Army) Proficiency Badge

I think this is quite a scarce badge according to Edwards and Langley introduced in 1917 and discontinued in 1921 for ground observers in WW1.

Mark,

As a former serious collector of cloth badges, I must say I have never seen an Observers badge with such a peculiar letter 'O' with the curly open top.

Very strange?
