Cool

I can only echo other members thoughts and say sorry for the loss of your Grandfather, his collection which he probably started as a hobby in his latter years is like many others and has reproduction items among it.

You will get no better advice elsewhere than from members on this forum, some really honest and straightforward people who have years of knowledge.

Luke has highlighted some badges that are known fakes, but there are some badges on that board which are not marked where it may be advisable to put close up front and back photos for close inspection, if any of these are deemed as originals it would be worth your while to sell them on the forum, possibly asking for best offers.

As you have said there is no hurry, so best of luck and take your time.

Rob

So if there’s about 300 items, and you wanted £3.00 each, that makes that lot worth £900. That puts it out of reach for basic collectors, as lots of the badges are common, they will already have them. I feel that collectors who spend £1000 plus would not be at this level of collecting. So it’s a shame, as I feel you are not going to be offered £1.00 per item

Thanks Rob, it is what it is! obviously not the news i hoped to hear but nevertheless although replicas it was a nice find and something to look at and go through! Would have been brilliant for them to all be the real deal but never mind!
