Original or Copy
Would very much like opinions on the RMLI H/P below as to whether it is likely to be an original or a copy.
Thanks Ray |

RMA badges
Ray, thank you for your support in my quest re previous posts. for your self and others interested I enclose this scan. I see no collar badges but very clearly is the shoulder title that was in discussion a few weeks ago as to Royal Malta Artillery title (which is curved) and this obvious example. By the way, what do his inverted Sgts stripe signify? Regards, DJ.

Hi DJ
The stripes are the right way up for British Sergeant (or am I missing something) I saw something advertised on Ebay recently which was three stripes (silver I think) and a red stripe at the bottom - all inverted. That was said to signify RMLI or RMA overseas service. Not sure of the accuracy of that observation. Is the shoulder title curved or is it just the A which has been angled up? Cannot see too clearly even with a magnifying glass to the screen. I have had two explanations of the curved RMA title - Malt Artillery (from numerous sources) and Miltary Academy (from one source) Ray |

I had a shoulder title which was very curved & smaller letters than the usual RMA & was told it was Royal Military Academy. The onein the picture just looks like a slightly distorted standard one to me.
