Default RM badges

In my experience, 99.99999 % of RM Labour Corps are repro the original badge is voided like the normal RM cap badge.
RMLI cap badges were reproduced by the Corps Museum around 1972 era I believe that the original dies were used and I remember seeing dozens of them for sale to visistors. I supose that they are original but do not pay a high price.
The often seen for sale SBS cloth cap badge of the frog, was a blazer badge originally and never a cap badge "SB" wore the RM cap badge. If you ever find 2 RMLC give ma a call I will have one of them.
Best of luck

We had a market stall holder who sold repro badges and he sold them as repro at £3-00 each. He knew my interest in Royal Marines badges and would show me the latest fake Royal Marines badge he had on his stall.
I have to say now that very little of the Royal Marines badges have not been faked.
Royal Naval School of Music Cap-badges, Large and Small Lyre and their helmet plate all have been faked.
RMA helmet plate plus cap-badge and the cap-badges with the grenade fitted to the globe have all been faked.
RMLI helmet plate Kings Crown with bugle horn at the base also the Valise
pouch badge have all been faked.
RMLI 1905 Helmet plate some with enamel centres all fake
As said above Royal Marines Labour Corp cap-badge faked
Royal Marines Band helmet plates with cyphers have been faked.
Royal Marines Band Kings crown pouch badge faked.
Kings crown 1905 Officers helmet plate, faked
Cloth
Swimmer Canoeist SQ
Mountain Leader SQ
Current SBS badges
Kings badgeman badges
Commandant Generals VIII Shooting badge in Green and Blue.
All have been faked.
As said above Best of Luck.
On line auction sites are full of them.
