Red Cross and SJJ insignia?
My Great Aunt was in Cairo. These badges have been handed down to me. All I know is that she was awarded the civil MBE - see attached photos. Please can anyone tell me about them.

That's a very interesting collection, I am sorry that no one with more knowledge than me has posted a reply.
For what it is worth here are my comments: The first item is I think a cap badge in gilt and enamel. The second item is a badge for a Cairo VAD ( Volunteer Aid Detachment ) in Cairo. Third item is another Red Cross Badge ( for tie /scarf ?) Fourth bronze badge- sorry cant make out enough detail. Next badge St. George and Dragon appears to be a brooch made from a coin with the detail fretted out and then enamelled- a very attractive item. Next badge looks rather French ( cross of Lorraine ? ) not sure of use. Green and red enamelled badge with roses is The Womens Institute. Finally there is the miniature medal group with the MBE and WW1 pair ( i.e British War Medal and Victory medal ) The MBE being mounted as worn by ladies. A very impressive group of items to one lady. Do you know where the full size medals are ? Hope the above is of some help. P.B.
