Are you sure your not winding us up on forum?

The hallmarked silver badge I would rate at around 300 - 400 pounds, assuming is hasnt been brooched, which is difficult to tell from your picture. The other badge is a nickel silver plate, one example with the one lug broken off sold recently for 82 US Dollars. As a group those items are of course worth more.

Shame the lady didnt bring any smelly old clothes to the car boot. That is where the real money resides in Airborne items these days. Regardless, a nice set and if you cared to drop the name of the officer in question into a post here I`m sure it would be incredibly easy to research him just by using Google........was most probably at Arnhem.

I really should get to those car boots.

Actually I know very little what I have learnt is from people like Peter on forum who has written books on the subject. Prices Ive picked up from looking at dealers web sites and eBay.

It sounds like you have a really good collection of badges. To find a 101 troop, a 3 Para officers and then a SAS lot is near impossible for most collectors in a lifetime. You must be a very lucky person.
