Default RAAF Wing.

Three questions on this wing which is heavily padded, is it British made? Is this style called drooped wing can it be dated? How much is it worth? OK that might be four questions!

I'm not an expert on RAAF insignia, but all the aircrew wings I've seen have always had a blue wreath, not the brown/russet of the RAF or RCAF.

I'd be comfortable with it. A nice Aussie pilot wing made with a wreath of the incorrect colour. I've seen a few of these about. I'd say English made

Yes I've seen a few if these. Dead right. Almost certainly British made although the reverse is similar to a late 30s Canadian made wing.

How much are you looking for?

Thanks for the replies guys, the wings are not mine to sell Im trying to value a collection of items from a friends father including watches coins and a few badges. My thoughts were in the £40-50 range?
Ron.

Nice wings , They are Canadian made ones .Padded Dress Wings. Ive had plenty of them over the years . Ex Empire Air Training Scheme when Australia sent aircrew over to Canada for training between 40-44 .
i will try to find some pics of similar ones.
These are worth value wise 75% of Aus made ones
Cheers

This example is stitched to the lining of a QAIMNS BD Blouse c 1945. She served in India 1945-47. Mike
